Increased Vending Options
Due to the recent recession our previous vending partners have ceased trading. This has inadvertently created an improvement to the options we can now supply in this area.
Our new working relationships with industrial suppliers and major manufacturers have given us access to the wide range of vending solutions now available. A new partnership with a vend solution specialist completes our capability in this department
Cost savings of around 15 – 20% are generated through the controlled issue of tools using vending systems and can be attributed to the following areas;
- Operators do not need to seek authorisation for issue of tools from conventional manned stores areas and incur time away from production.
- Elimination of unauthorised retrievals resulting in tracking and location problems.
- Lower purchasing administration costs.
- Elimination of operatives creating personal hoards of tooling, often resulting in denial of production critical items to other shifts, operators, or departments.
- Reduction of stock outs due to monitored process greatly reducing the cost burden of panic measures i.e. couriers to deliver tooling from supplier.
- Reduction of lost production by having the availability of correct tools due to improved monitoring and stocking procedures.
- Onus of stock control placed upon the supplier reducing the burden for setter or storeman.
- Reduction of obsolete or slow moving stock due to perpetual monitoring.
- Reduction of wrong tools being selected via clear and specific locations.
