The Fenn Tool manufacturing & technical centre in Braintree was set up in 2000 with the emphasis on the manufacture of solid carbide shank tooling.

The facility incorporates state to the art 7 axis CNC grinding machines from Anca, fully equipped with auto pallet loaders to satisfy the volume of business, Gidco wheel dress machine, Rollomatic prep grinders and a host of manual machines.

Within the manufacturing program we are also able to offer special tooling to suit customer’s specific requirements and this service allows a relatively short lead time and a competitive pricing structure.

With the advance of new technologies we are able to offer dedicated tooling to cover the full spectre of materials ranging from Aluminium to the more demanding materials such as Inconel/Titanium.

Our production engineers have the expertise to offer advice and solutions to cater for the more complex machining techniques and liaise closely with the customer to provide the best tooling solutions.

We accommodate a wide range of Industries in the UK including Automotive, Formula 1, Aerospace & Dental Industries and also the export market. All carbide tooling is manufactured using the very highest quality of carbide and tool life is maintained by utilising the market leading suppliers of grinding wheels.

Also incorporated within our service is a quick response time in respect to coatings and frequent delivery services from our coating suppliers allows us to hold extensive stocks of standard tooling and also allows quick deliveries of special requirements.

We also offer a regrind and reconditioning service as well as modifications to standard tooling.
